Overview

LastPurchase.io is a product review and comparison site. We do not require accounts, collect personal information through forms, or sell user data. This policy explains the limited data collection that occurs when you visit the site.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information. The following anonymous data is collected automatically when you visit:

  • Pages visited, time on site, and general browsing patterns (via Google Analytics)
  • Device type, browser type, and screen resolution (aggregated, not tied to individuals)
  • Approximate geographic region (country/city level, derived from IP address — we do not store IP addresses)
  • Referring website or search engine

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data and does not collect personally identifiable information. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

LastPurchase.io uses a limited number of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These expire after 2 years of inactivity.
  • Affiliate cookies — when you click a merchant link, the affiliate network (such as AvantLink, CJ Affiliate, or Impact) may set a cookie on the merchant's domain to track the referral. These cookies are set by the merchant's site, not by LastPurchase.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.

Affiliate Links

Product pages contain links to third-party retailers. When you click these links and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are identified as affiliate links per our affiliate disclosure.

Clicking an affiliate link takes you to the retailer's website, which has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel — hosts the website and processes web requests
  • Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage statistics
  • Cloudflare — provides DNS services

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We do not maintain any separate databases of user information.

Children's Privacy

LastPurchase.io is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have concerns about data associated with your visits, you can:

  • Opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on linked above
  • Clear cookies in your browser settings at any time
  • Use your browser's Do Not Track setting (GA4 respects this)
  • Contact us with any privacy-related questions

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
